About Us

The company officially opened on April 2007. The initial venue for offering Thai Bazaar products is through Summer Street Fair Festivals in major parts of New York City.
WHERE ARE WE?
THAI BAZAAR is a home-based company located in the NYC area. No expensive office, no store to maintain while the company is establishing itself. In the future, growth plans include a retail store or a showroom and a wholesale office.
HOW IT ALL STARTED?
A husband and wife team which bridges backgrounds from different countries but has one passion-exotic home furnishings from far away lands. Annual vacations were made to Thailand, and a hobby began. They brought handicrafts to decorate their home and created a buzz among their friends and family. A demand was created to supply handicrafts for the home, thus gave birth to their import enterprise,THAI BAZAAR.
WHAT THAI BAZAAR HAS IN STORE FOR EVERYONE?
THAI BAZAAR has something for everyone who respects ethnic handicrafts for the home. An array of pieces from sculptures of Buddha for those collectors and worshippers of the Buddha images, exotic lighting made of bamboo and coconut shells which invokes an environment of warmth and coziness for the home or office, tapestries artistically and patiently hand made by the natives of a hill tribe called “Kalaga” that can function on the wall as a hanging or framed. These art pieces can also be used as cushion covers. The tapestries have a mythological sequence, using five different animals, the white elephant, peacock, horse, phoenix and singha, and act as good luck charms.
THAI BAZAAR mission is to share the hundreds of different types of exotic treasures uncovered and to offer to appreciative consumers in the USA.
Unique handmade products at competitive prices, this is what THAI BAZAAR is all about.
About the Owner
WHO ARE WE?
THAI BAZAAR is a joint venture of a husband and wife team who continually search for exotic arts and home decor especially handmade by artists from Thailand and other countries rarely known outside their local communities. The company’s goal is to find and identify the best quality and most unique products by the highly talented local artists and import them to the USA.
The couple travels to every part of Thailand, especially the northern part, where most of the handcrafts are manufactured by the locals. Meticulous selections are made for marketing in the USA. Thai Bazaar strives to search for direct suppliers so they can offer fair and competitive prices.
